A Peek at Miss Bo's Classroom

In this post, we are throwing it way back to last year's 2023 Animal/Vet Science class. This activity is what kickstarted the social media series that we've named "A Peek at Miss Bo's Classroom".
Students decorated cow cookies with common beef cattle breed characteristics. The Hereford cattle were looking a little pink, but the strawberry frosting was yummy. This was an activity that my class had been looking forward to all week and I kept dragging my feet because I am not a baker. I am so thankful that my mom was willing to do the baking for me and she ended up making the cow sugar cookies that we used.
This is as simple as it looks though. I had snagged a cow cookie cutter at some point and the frosting was left over from an FFA meeting. Other than some paper plates and plastic knives, not much else was needed supply wise. It didn't take students long to complete their task, so be sure to have something else planned for the class period.
It was definitely a high schooler approved activity but could also be implemented in middle school classrooms.
