Located in rural Central Illinois, the Midland FFA Chapter is a co-curricular program a part of the Midland School District. The chapter was chartered in 1995 when Midcounty and Sparland School Districts combined. Today, the high school sits in the middle of a corn field and students are exposed to agriculture early on. Students from Henry-Senachwine High School attend agriculture classes at Midland and can become members of the Chapter.
Today it is evident that the chapter has grown. Since it was chartered a greenhouse for the horticulture program has been built with another soon on the way. A second teacher has been added to the agriculture department and now there are even more opportunities for students. Shop classes have been allowed to expand greatly to provide more education on career building skills. FFA is an organization with the goal to build young leaders who possess the qualities needed to become the professionals of the future.

Ag in the Classroom has worked with the Midland FFA Chapter for many years. This has allowed for students at Midland Middle School and Henry-Senachwine Grade School to be exposed to agriculture and learn about the National FFA Organization early on. In the 2017-2018 school year, a long planned goal was met and agriculture classes began being offered at Midland Middle School. Today, both Mr. D. Blunier and Mr. C. Blunier teach classes at the Middle School and High School daily.
